2022 Annual Appeal – A COMMITMENT THAT CANNOT BE SHAKEN
The year 2021 has been challenging for everyone. Haiti, in particular has been hit even harder than many other countries in the world due to the political instability following the assassination of the President, a major earthquake that devastated our immediate community and gang violence that has erupted due to a VOID of governmental leadership.
These challenges sometimes seem overwhelming and insurmountable, but NOVA Hope for Haiti continues to provide the desperately needed healthcare to the people of Cavaillon despite the difficulties we face. Despite these serious challenges, we have a dedicated team of volunteers in the US and a committed hardworking staff of 25 people in Haiti who making sure our clinic continues to be there for the communities we serve.
This year our annual appeal is even more important as we begin the reconstruction of our clinic building that was severely damaged in the earthquake. We are taking this opportunity not to just rebuild our original building but improving the layout and functionality of the operation based on what we’ve learned over the past eight years since our clinic building was opened. This will afford the opportunity to offer more programs, improve care and a potential for expansion over time.
The Executive Committee and Board of Directors has been working diligently for the past three months to ensure the plans are realistic and prudent given our responsibility as stewards of your generosity.
Our goal this year is $100,000 to continue our mission of providing medical care to the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.
