Anthonika Titus, M.D., Operations Director
In January 2024, NOVA warmly welcomed Dr. Anthonika Titus to our team as the Operations Director. Dr. Titus, a board-certified physician brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her role. She oversees our medical services, operations, financials, human resources, community outreach, and dedicated staff in Haiti. Beyond her administrative duties, she is instrumental in shaping the strategic future of NOVA, working hand-in-hand with the Executive Committee of the Board and key leaders in the community.
Dr. Titus graduated from the University of Notre Dame in Haiti, where she served her community as a general practitioner. Her path led her into hospital administration which resulted in a career of executive roles within the healthcare sector. Her most recent position before joining us was as the General Manager of a non-profit where she had broad responsibilities including oversight for their medical department, finances, operations, human resources, and inventory. In addition to her medical degree, Dr. Titus has a Bachelor's in Theology and is continuously expanding her knowledge, currently working towards a Master's degree in Project Management. She is fluent in Creole, French, and English, along with conversational Spanish, allowing her to connect with a diverse range of individuals. Dr. Titus and her family live in Cavaillon. We are grateful that she joined NOVA and for her commitment to the community she serves.
Dr. Pheno Bouzy M.D.
Dr. Pheno Bouzy has been affiliated with NOVA since February 2020. He first joined the team as a part-time general practitioner. Since September 2024, he has been our full-time lead physician.
Dr. Bouzy is an alumnus of Technological University of Santiago (UTESA), where he earned his medical degree between 2008 and 2014. He was a Medical Intern at the Priority Community Health Center of Gelée from 2015 to 2017, and he served the Health Center of Le Prête in Chantal from 2017 to 2018. Besides working at NOVA part-time, Dr. Bouzy also led the emergency service department at Port-à-Piment Hospital from 2020 to January 2023. He is a well-rounded general practitioner and an expert in emergency medicine.
Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Bouzy has completed specialized training in airway management, malaria, cholera, tuberculosis, and operations of national ambulance centers, ensuring he stays at the forefront of medical advancements and public health strategies. He is also active in his community. He has participated in health fairs with IWTHC, bringing essential medical services to underserved areas in Les Cayes, Dedune, and Saint Louis du Nord.
Cadet Rose Chrisline, Registered and Licensed Nurse
In May 2024, Rose Chrisline Cadet joined NOVA Hope for Haiti as a volunteer intern following her training at Siloe University of the South in Les Cayes. During her three-month internship, she showcased her adaptability and dedication by working in various departments, including reception, pharmacy, the observation room, and wound care. Her hands-on approach and exceptional theoretical and practical skills earned her recognition, and in August 2024, she was appointed as a line nurse at NOVA.
Rose Chrisline is not only a skilled nurse but also a compassionate caregiver who brings warmth and dedication to every patient she serves. We are grateful to have her as part of our team.
Laura Bassette, Licensed Nurse
In April 2023, after already having become a licensed nurse, Laura completed a year of social service at the Centre Le Réconfort Sud d’Haïti in Torbeck, which concluded in April 2024. Following this, in May 2024, she joined NOVA Hope for Haiti as a volunteer intern for a month. During her time with us, Laura impressed everyone with her theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and compassionate care. As a result, Laura was offered the role of Line Nurse, where she continues to provide invaluable contributions. Her dedication and expertise are a true asset to our mission of delivering quality healthcare and hope to the communities we serve.
We are grateful to have Laura on our team and look forward to the positive impact she will continue to make.
Joanne Jules, Licensed Nurse
Joanne Jules joined the NOVA team in May 2022. She plays a vital role in pharmacy stock management, conducting inventories and requisitions, data management, and the training of interns.
Joanne completed her nursing studies at the École Nationale des Infirmières des Cayes (ENIC) from 2015 to 2019, and she completed her social service at the Port-à-Piment Hospital. She later worked as a line nurse at the same hospital, serving in the emergency, hospitalization, triage, and wound care departments.
In March 2024, Joanne earned a certificate of achievement for completing the “Acting for Your Health” course through the FUN/MOOC platform.
Joanne is a passionate nurse who fully invests herself in every task she undertakes. Her commitment to patient care and operational excellence is a testament to her professionalism and dedication to her field.
Désir Gerline, Licensed Nurse
As a graduate of the Nursing School of Les Cayes (ENIC), Désir Gerline joined NOVA as a replacement nurse in March 2023. Recognizing her commitment and expertise, she was promoted to a full-time position in February 2024. She has a broad set of responsibilities including sterilizing medical equipment, data management for the hypertension program, and training and mentoring interns.
Désir is meticulous, caring, and fully dedicated to her role as a nurse. She is passionate about bringing smiles to her patients and colleagues, always striving for their well-being. Her commitment to delivering high-quality care is unwavering, and she exemplifies professionalism in every aspect of her work.
Currently pursuing studies in management, Désir continues to grow and expand her capabilities, embodying the spirit of continuous learning and excellence.

Berlouna Chaudry, Medical Lab Technician
Berlouna Chaudry joined NOVA in May 2022 after being trained as a medical laboratory technician and holding such posts at a number of medical clinics. Since joining NOVA, Berlouna has been an integral part of the team, applying her extensive experience and unwavering determination to deliver reliable and high-quality laboratory services. Her commitment to teamwork and her belief in doing her work with precision and care make her an invaluable asset to our mission. Her philosophy is simple yet powerful: quality and satisfaction are priorities.
