The New Clinic ‘in Action’

In 2024, NOVA completed the construction of its new clinic, which opened in January. The facility features five exam rooms, a wellstocked pharmacy, laboratory and improved patient areas, allowing us to serve over 1,000 patients monthly, a significant increase from 500 pre-earthquake. A new residence building to house visiting volunteers was also completed. The new construction to modern building codes ensures the clinic’s resilience against future disasters.

Large fuel holding tanks allow NOVA clinic operations to run reliably when there are energy supply interruptions and scarcity.

In 2024, NOVA saw the number of tests performed in our lab more than double as patient volume soared. This increase resulted in the need to hire an additional part-time lab technician. Laboratory testing is an indispensable tool in primary care medicine, providing critical data that complements the physician’s clinical judgment and the patient’s reported symptoms.

Also in 2024, NOVA launched a campaign to provide specialized care for women and children in Cavaillon, addressing a critical healthcare need. Focusing on these vulnerable populations can have far-reaching impacts on community health and wellbeing. Our goal for 2025 is to have a Pediatrician and OB/GYN treat patients in our clinic twice a month to supplement the primary care provided by our general physicians.
